QUICON (Quiet Contribute) is a nonprofit initiative / foundation created to enable direct, quiet support between individuals who wish to give and individuals or communities who are affected and in need.

By accessing or using QUICON’s website, tools, or services (collectively, the “Services”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

Our Mission and Role

QUICON exists to support discreet, human-centered contribution. We provide a platform that allows Contributors to connect directly with Recipients (affected individuals or communities), without publicity, ranking, or promotion. QUICON: 

  • Does not solicit funds for itself
  • Does not take ownership or control of contributions
  • Does not act as a trustee, escrow, agent, or fiduciary
  • Does not guarantee outcomes, needs, or use of support

All contributions are made voluntarily and at the contributor’s discretion. 

Eligibility and Use

  • You must be 18 years or older to use the Services
  • You agree to provide accurate and lawful information
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account
  • You may not impersonate others or misuse the platform

If you use QUICON on behalf of a group or community, you confirm that you have the authority to do so. 

Quiet Contributors and Recipients

These Terms apply equally to all users, whether acting as a Quiet Contributor or a Recipient. 

  • Contributors decide whom to support and to what extent
  • Recipients are responsible for how support is received and used
  • QUICON does not verify impact, outcomes, or representations made by users

Interactions between users occur independently of QUICON. 

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Services to: 

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Misrepresent identity, need, or intent
  • Exploit, harass, or deceive others
  • Submit harmful, fraudulent, or unlawful content
  • Interfere with platform security or functionality

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for violations. 

Privacy and Data Use

Your privacy is central to QUICON’s mission.

  • QUICON collects only the minimum data necessary to operate the Services
  • Personal information is used solely for platform functionality and communication
  • We do not sell personal data
  • We do not use data for advertising or profiling

Our Privacy Policy explains in detail how information is collected, used, stored, and protected. By using the Services, you agree to the Privacy Policy. 

Communications

You may receive essential service communications related to your use of QUICON. 

You may opt out of non-essential messages at any time. 

We do not send promotional communications unrelated to our mission. 

Content and Intellectual Property

All platform content is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. 

You retain ownership of content you submit but confirm you have the right to share it. 

By submitting content, you grant QUICON a limited right to use it only for operating the Services. 

Third-Party Services

The Services may reference or link to third-party tools or platforms. 

QUICON is not responsible for the content, availability, or practices of third parties. 

Your use of third-party services is subject to their own terms and policies. 

Service Availability and Changes

QUICON may update, modify, pause, or discontinue parts of the Services as needed to support our mission. 

You may stop using the Services at any time. 

We may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are violated. 

Certain sections (including liability limits and dispute resolution) remain in effect after termination. 

Disclaimers

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” QUICON makes no guarantees regarding:

  • The success or outcome of any contribution
  • The actions or representations of users
  • Continuous or error-free availability

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless QUICON, its directors, officers, volunteers, and affiliates from claims arising out of:

  • Your use of the Services
  • Your interactions with other users
  • Your violation of these Terms or applicable laws

Dispute Resolution

Most disputes will be resolved through binding individual arbitration, rather than court proceedings.

  • No class or collective actions
  • Arbitration conducted in English
  • You may opt out within 30 days of first accepting these Terms

Final Provisions

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and QUICON. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain valid and effective.
